Finance
The Finance Department oversees all financial aspects of the Georgia Mountains Regional Development Center. The Finance Director has a close working relationship with the Executive Director, Department Heads, federal and state agencies, and local member governments.
Georgia Mountains RDC's operating fiscal year is July 1 through June 30. An annual Financial Budget and Work Scope are prepared by the Executive Director and Finance Director, who works closely with the GMRDC Finance Committee and Department Heads for presentation in May to the Board of Directors at the regular monthly Board meeting for their review. After the Board has reviewed the document, the Financial Budget and Work Scope is voted on and adopted at the June Board of Directors meeting for implementation July 1.
The Finance Department prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal reports in accordance with funding agency guidelines, maintaining accounting records and policies in accordance with applicable OMB circulars and federal and state guidelines.
